Table Cover
A pattern for both insertion lace and edging lace, both of the same pattern. Made for decorating a tablecloth.
The pattern calls for this to be used with a piece of linen, for the lace to be connected to. Although the pattern calls suggests a tablecloth, it is variable in length and could potentially be used for any cloth from handkerchief to bed-sheet.
Other materials: Nufashond Rick Rack Braid No. 21, fabric for tablecloth
As this pattern was published in 1916, most of the suggested materials for yarn have been discontinued. A photo of the Rick Rack braid is included in pattern photos, in case you’d like to try to find a suitable replacement. Any crochet yarn can be substituted.
All patterns in this Nufashond book include Rick Rack in different sizes. Projects on any of these patterns may have advice on substituting the Rick Rack.
