Yarn: Isager Highland wool (light fingering; 100% wool; 275 m / 301 yds per 50 g ball)
Yarn A: Wine; 1 ball
Yarn B: Rhubarb; 1 ball
Yarn C: Sky; 3 (3, 4, 5, 5) balls
Yarn D: Rose; 1 ball

Gauge: 28 sts & 42 rows = 10 cm / 4” over stocking stitch on 3 mm needles after blocking. NOTE: correct row gauge is important due to the diagonal knitting in the front piece

Needles: 3 mm / US 3 circular needle, 80cm / 32” length AND needles suitable for working small circumferences
in the round. NOTE: the majority of Tabular is worked at in pieces, but a circular needle is recommended to make picking up sts easier along front sections, and for the garter stitch hem which is worked in the round.
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.

Notions: 2 locking stitch markers, stitch holders or scrap yarn, darning needle

Notes: Tabular is knit flat in pieces and seamed. The front begins at the top edge and is knitted down and sideways in a v shape. The work is then split in two and knitted separately to square off the bottom. The coloured bands at the armhole seam are then picked up and completed. Back and arm pieces are knitted bottom up. Finally, the neck and bottom hem edges are picked up and knitted in the round.
