Taggart Lake
The Taggart Lake mitts are one of nine patterns in Independent Fabrication: Volume 2, a collection of accessory patterns in small-batch yarn. The print + eBook bundle is currently available for pre-order from Tightly Knit and Sandreed Press; the individual patterns and eBook-only options are available on Ravelry.
A rhythmic slip-stitch pattern gives warmth, density, and downright squishiness to these small-but-effective mitts, worked in White Barn Farm’s aptly-titled Heaven Aran, a Cormo-Alpaca-Silk blend. Despite their short length, these mitts are cozy and opulent. An optional tubular cast on and bind offs add polish to the finished edges. They make a great travel project and a super speedy knit, so you can keep a pair in your handbag to take the chill off a frigid morning and still squeeze in a second pair-in-progress!
