Tailwind
This pattern is part of Coastal Path Knits, a collection of ten knitting patterns inspired England’s East Anglian coastline. See this thread for more information about these patterns.
There are many windmills still standing throughout East Anglia, some were used as corn mills others as pumping mills. This 200 year old mill at Thorpeness has previously been used as both and now sits peacefully looking across the village and out to sea.
Tailwind is a reversible garter and lace shawl. Worked sideways on the bias it can be knit to any length.
The pattern is written only with no charts.
