This pattern can be found in issue one of Nomadic Knits, which is available as a digital download through Ravelry (click the e-book link above).
Take Me to the Beach is knit top-down, back and forth to the underarm, then is joined in the round. Knit it full length as shown for a swimsuit cover-up, or knit it half-length for a fun, drapey tee to wear over a swimsuit or tank top. The Fiber Seed’s Sprout Sock has the perfect combination of drape and bounce for this universally flattering shape.
Sizes: XXS (XS, S, M, L, XL) 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL, 6XL.
Finished Measurements: 40 (44, 48, 52, 56, 60) 64, 68, 72, 76, 80)”/ 101 (111, 121, 131, 141, 151) 161, 171, 181, 191, 201)cm bust circumference. Best worn with 6-8”/15-20cm of positive ease. See final picture for schematic.
Yarn: The Fiber Seed Sprout Sock (fingering; 90% merino, 10% nylon; 510 yards/465m per 136g) in Caribbean.
Tee: 480 (510, 560, 620, 670, 725) 790, 860, 940, 1020, 1115 yards/ 439 (467, 512, 567, 613, 663) 723, 787, 860, 933, 1020 meters.
Cover-up: 810 (890, 980, 1080, 1185, 1305) 1435, 1580, 1735, 1910, 2100 yards/ 741 (814, 896, 988, 1084, 1193) 1312, 1445, 1586, 1746, 1920 meters; any adjustments made to length will affect yardage requirements.
Gauge: 12 stitches and 16 rows = 4”/10cm in mesh pattern, blocked and dried.
Needles: US 7/4.5mm, 24”/60cm circular, or size to obtain gauge.
Notions: stitch marker, tapestry needle to weave ends.
