“Take THAT!” In cricket, when a batsman hits a six he is really thumping that heavy ball out of the arena! These fingerless mitts are made in the round from the bottom up using a circular needle. It features nifty cable rib patterning and funky stripes.

Yarn Quantity
Main Colour (MC) 1 skein of suggested yarn: Primo Worsted by The Plucky Knitter (75% Merino / 20% Cashmere / 5% Nylon) 200yds/105g.

Alternative yarn: Primo Aran by The Plucky Knitter (75% Merino / 20% Cashmere / 5% Nylon) 200yds/115g.

Contrast Colour 1, 2 and 3 (CC1, CC2 and CC3): Approx. 10g each of suggested yarn.

Tools
5mm (US 8) (or size required to get gauge) and 4mm (US 6) circular needles of 80cm (32”) or longer, 1 stitch marker, cable needle (optional), stitch holders or waste yarn, measuring tape and yarn needle for weaving in ends.

Gauge
Gauge in Cricket Cable pattern: 25 sts by 30 rows over 4” (10cm) square on larger size needles. Unblocked. Gauge in 1x1 Ribbing pattern: 27 sts by 32 rows over 4” (10cm) square on smaller size needles. Unblocked.

Sizing
One size only -- will fit hand size of 7” (18cm) to 8.25” (21cm) palm circumference. For a smaller size: go down 1 or 2 needle sizes. For a larger size: cast on extra stitches at the cuff ribbing, then on the last row of ribbing, decrease sts to the correct stitch count for the Cricket Cable pattern. For length, add/subtract rows as you desire.
