Talimena Knit Blanket Square is an 8″x 8″ free knitted blanket square pattern that is all about the texture you can create with simple stitches. You’ll use just knits and purls to make this beautiful blanket square. The free pattern is available on my website.

The Talimena Knit Blanket Square was inspired by bright fall leaves. The shape you see repeated in the square is intended to be a leaf with a stem at one end. I’ll admit though that it also looks a lot like scales from a fish or dragon, so you have my blessing to use it that way, LOL.

I named this knit square after the Talimena National Scenic Byway.
