Tam O'Shanter to Knit
The pattern I chose to adapt for this project is from a booklet published in the early 1920s titled Hats, Caps & Tams. This tam o’shanter has a band of stranded knitting around the headband and another around the widest part of the tam. The tam is slightly quirky in modern terms—for both its color combination and its tassel on a chain that runs from the center of the crown.
