The pattern is for a fun loving, always up for a laugh, happy tattie (potato) called Tam. I have absolutely loved creating the pattern for Tam. I have always loved our Scottish celebrations for Robert Burns on 25th January and really wanted to add some friends for my Haggy the Haggis to celebrate with, so here is Tam. He can’t wait to celebrate Robert Burns’ birthday. I hope you will love the pattern as much I have loved creating him.

The skill level for this pattern is Beginner and it is available in English, UK and US terminology. It is a simple pattern that’s a great starter project to amigurumi.
The skills that are needed for this pattern are Amigurumi techniques including

  • magic ring
  • crocheting in the round
  • double crochet (UK)/single crochet (US)
  • increase and decrease stitches
  • There are also some embroidery techniques

This pattern is a perfect stash buster project! Any DK weight yarn can be used. Yarn I have used:
Drops Design Muskat DK (100% Cotton, 50g/100m)
I have also used small lengths of Black yarn or embroidery thread for the detailing.

The finished dimensions are:
8.5cm high x 5.5cm wide

You may sell your finished products made using this pattern in limited number. I do ask that you credit me, Pauline Morgan @makingpolly, as the designer.
