This laceweight cardigan is perfect to add a delicate layer of warmth. Knit from the top down, this cardigan has wide front panels which can be allowed to drape open or can be pinned using a shawl pin.
Materials
Yarn
2 (2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3) skeins Blue Moon Fiber Arts Laci, 100% extra fine merino wool, 4oz (113g), 900 yds (822m), Color, Ursula.
Needles & Notions
1 US size 6 (4mm) circular needle, 40” (100cm) length (or longer for larger cardigan size)
1 set US size 6 (4mm) double-pointed needles (if magic loop not used for sleeves)
Adjust needle size as necessary to achieve gauge.
Stitch markers, safety pins for Japanese short rows, waste yarn, tapestry needle.
Gauge
24 stitches and 36 rows = 4” (10cm) in stockinette stitch blocked.
19 stitches and 36 rows = 4” (10 cm) in lace pattern blocked.
