Pattern Description from Cast On, May-July 2009: “Taos, an area rich with art and history, is situated on the high-desert mesa at the foot of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in New Mexico. The Taos Woven Jacket emulates the influence of this Southwester Valley. This elegant jacket knits up quickly using bulky weight yarn and simple lines. The use of the slipped stitch pattern creates a fabric that looks woven rather than knit. It’s a great project for the advanced beginner looking to branch out and learn a few new techniques.”
