Designed for one or two skeins of Little Fox Yarn’s Vixen base, and specifically with the 2018 exclusive colorway dyed for Wool Workshop in Roanoke, VA during the Virginia Knits Virginia Yarn Crawl, this cowl can either be knit to make a short neck warmer or a longer infinity style scarf.

Update: James Tarpley passed away in 2019. Tarpley Park was a small park located in Historic Grandin Village in Roanoke, VA. The park was named after and maintained by James Tarpley, aka “The Angel of Grandin Village.” The park is a gated play haven for children and also beautifully landscaped. This cowl combines stitches to show off the beauty and whimsy of this lovely Roanoke gem.

Single Skein Cowl:
This cowl is best constructed flat and seamed so that blocking is easiest, yet a skilled knitter can easily convert the stitch pattern to ‘in the round’ and block open to the proper measurements. The ‘vent’ detail is optional, but it helps the cowl stay in place on the shoulders instead of drooping down the body.

Double Skein Infinity Scarf:
This circular scarf is seamed, yet a skilled knitter can opt to start with a provisional cast on and Kitchener/Graft the two ends together.
