Originally designed for the New Zealand/Tasmania/Australia 2026 Craftcruises trip, this design is named for the body of water between New Zealand and Tasmania, and is loosely inspired by a watercolor found in a notebook from the 1930’s in the Wellington Library.

Materials:
*NOTE Both the hat and cowl need one hank of each color; however, if both the hat and cowl are to be knit, 1 hank of color will still be enough to make the set.*
• 1 Hank each color Happy Go Knitty Ahuru 8 (3.5 oz/100 g ea approx. 260 yds/238 m, 80% merino, 20% possum) in Magnolia Tree (pink, CC1), Custard Apple (yellow, CC2), and Tui (blue, CC3)
• Size US 5 (3.75 mm) 16” Circular Knitting Needles for Hat
