Any yarn weight or brand can be used to crochet Taurus - when made with Sport weight yarn, the finished piece measures approximately 109 x 33cm (43 x 13 inches). The amount of yarn used (Sport weight yarn) is approximately 401 grams (15 ounces) or 843 metres (924 yards), with the main colour requiring 227 grams (8 ounces) or 477 metres (523 yards), and the contrast colour using 174 grams (7 ounces) or 366 metres (401 yards).
