This stylish top-down constructed jacket-like cardigan features interesting cable details on fronts and back. The pattern gives directions for both short and long cardigan version with long or short sleeves. With additional hem repeats you can still adjust the length to fit your figure best.

This cardigan is intended to be worn with no ease (approx. 1”/2.5 cm negative or positive ease is possible; choose the size closest to your bust size).

SHORT CARDI WITH LONG SLEEVES: You need approx. 6(6, 7, 8, 9) skeins or 1125(1260, 1390, 1530, 1670) yds/ 1030(1152, 1270, 1400, 1550) m
LONG CARDI WITH SHORT SLEEVES: You need approx. 6(7, 8, 9, 9) skeins or 1210(1365, 1520, 1680, 1950) yds/1110(1250, 1400, 1540, 1700) m.

US 7 (4.5 mm) 40”/ 100 cm circular needle.
US 6 (4 mm) 40”/100 cm circular needle.

Cable needles (2), yarn needle, stitch markers, stitch holders/scrap yarn, 9(12) buttons

About the construction: Two separate saddle shoulder pieces are worked first and then joined for yoke by picking up and knitting sts from the sides of the shoulder pieces. New sts are casted on for back. Sleeve construction follows contiguous method developed by Susie Myers (SusieM) on Ravelry. When yoke is finished, sleeves are separated and left on hold. The body is shaped with decreases and increases. Sleeves are worked in rounds and cardigan is finished with neckband and buttonband in which buttons can be fastened by knitting.

NOTE! Long cardigan version instructions are written in red, you may want to use color printer. The pattern is quite large, so if you print it you may want to print only your size pages:
