Hi lovelies!

I decided to jump on the bucket hat bandwagon and added a few elegant twists to it that take it from just another hat to your favorite summertime tea party hat, perfect for taking your mom out to brunch.

This hat includes detailed instructions on how to crochet the squares, use a twisted join as you go method for a seamless join, and an optional flower detail to use up that spare yarn and add a little extra femininity.

This is a great pattern for adventurous beginners and intermediate crocheters to stretch themselves with a new join method and play with stitch heights to change the fabric.

The original pattern creates a hat with a 22” circumference (one square through round 4 is 5.5”). The size can be adjusted in a few different ways. You can decrease rnds on the squares for a smaller child sized hat, or adjust yarn and hook gauge to tweak the sizing by smaller increments.
