What Are Your School or Favorite Team Colors?

Sports fans will make a big hit in the stadium with these eye-catching headbands. They’re fun to make and knit up quickly using a simple slip stitch pattern — no carrying colors across the row.

Make these headbands in all your favorite team colors, or in a fashion color combination. The slip stitch pattern provides extra warmth for him or her— perfect for chilly stadiums!

This pattern contains directions for the headband in two widths, with an optional flower for the wider headband, as well as an optional design variation for the back of the neck.

The headbands are worked flat, on straight needles, and seamed at the back of the neck. This stitch pattern does not curl and no additional finishing is needed.

The headbands as pictured were made with Cascade 220, but any worsted weight yarn can be substituted. Two 100 gram skeins of 220 will make at least three headbands, most likely four.
