This pillow accompanies the Stitch Anatomy article on Seed Stitch in this issue of Cast On. Side 1 of this pillow shows seed stitch used to make and fill cables. Side 2 shows seed stitch juxtaposed with stockinette in block form to create a brocade pattern.

I’ve chosen to use a Merino yarn because it gives a good stitch definition to textured fabrics. It’s important to get gauge and get the seed stitch to look nice. You may need to experiment with needles to find the type and size that work.
