Teddy Bear Vera
Vera is a classical teddy bear, a bear like every child should have. Knitting her from heavy yarn yields a friendly softy, the friend for your child or grandchild, or your own to sit on the couch. In lighter yarn you get the big bears’ child.
Vera is knit seamlessly in one piece. The head is knit first from the back to the nose, then the body, the legs and the arms. Finally the ears are added. You may use a circular needle or 4 double pointed needles. When you are finished knitting, the bear can be stuffed, without hours of puzzling how to connect the pieces to be a bear and without ugly seams.
The pattern is very extensive, featuring 40 pictures of the various stages in knitting and row by row instructions.
The pattern is available in French, English and Dutch. When you buy the pattern you have access to all of the files: in Dutch, French and English.
Vera may be knit from various types and weights of yarn.
For example: About 150 grams of Aran-weight yarn. A Vera from this yarn weight will be about 17 inches tall.
You may also use heavier or lighter yarn for a bigger or smaller Vera. Heavier yarn requires more than 150 grams, lighter yarn requires less.
‘’Vera est maintenant disponible en français !
