Tempest Hat
You’ll be ready for any tempest in this chunky hat with thick earflaps. Garter stitch creates thick, cushy earflaps for super warm ears - tie ends under the chin or on the crown for a different look.

Length without earflaps: 7 (7.5, 8)”/ 18 (19, 20.5)cm
Circumference, un-stretched: 18 (20, 22)”/45.5 (51, 56)cm, stretches 3-4”/7.5-10cm
Yarn: 2 skeins Knitcrate La Brebis (60yds/55m, 100g/4oz, 100% Peruvian Highland Wool) Color Smoke
Or 85yds/78m of a chunky weight yarn that will knit to gauge
Needles: US 13 (9mm) 16”/40cm circular needle, and/or double pointed needles, or size to obtain gauge
