This sweater is all about the yarn - a simple design to feature all the rustic look of this exclusive yarn. “Alfeire” is the most exclusive yarn sold in Retrosaria. It is a special yarn that comes from a small flock of merino sheep in Alentejo. It is entirely carried out by hand and it is incredibly light and soft (I mean really soft!). The natural shades of yarn are enhanced by the touch of color in the hem.
The name is inspired by this rustic look and soft touch of the yarn. “Terra” in Portuguese is often used to refer to our home, our village, our family, and this sweater is a perfect pair to that “homey” feeling, just like your grandma’s hug.
