A worsted weight yarn with great sheen and drape paired with a loose gauge forms a wonderfully versatile fashion accessory for your wardrobe. This shawl is shaped to sit comfortably on your shoulders with no need for pinning (unless you want to). The size is perfect for wearing as a shawl, or also as a scarf. It can even be tied around the waist to dress up leggings or a skirt.

The pattern lends itself well to a variety of yarn weights and gauges. Tables are included for estimating the finished dimensions for 14-34 sts per 4”/10 cm and 16-36 rows per 4”/10 cm. Note that any change in gauge can drastically alter the required yardage. The shawl shown here used 650 yds of worsted weight yarn.

Stitch patterns are presented in both charted and line-by-line formats.

Pattern was fully test knit in a variety of yarn weights.

Version 2.0 has the new pattern layout and a few minor tweaks to wording in the Line-By-Line Body section to be more consistent. Version 1.1 is nearly identical in content to the new version.

50% of profits from the sale of this pattern from January 19th - 31st, 2010 have been donated to Doctors Without Borders/MSF for Haiti Relief.
