Welcome the chilly weather in a stunning coat.
There’s nothing better than a hand-knitted cardi to keep you warm and snug in the cooler months! The explication are given with a lot of options. This coat is a master class in ribbing knitting. The coat is worked at a firmer gauge to give the garment structure.
Construction:
The garment Body is worked as a single piece (flat) from hem to underarm; after the underarm bind off, Back and both Fronts are joined with the sleeves held sts and the Raglan yoke is shaped. Sleeves are worked circularly from cuff to underarm; at that point, underarm stitches are bound off.
The yoke part is shaped with decrease along the large raglan band. The raglan bands are work in rib 1x1 tbl. The fronts back and sleeves are work in rib 2x2 after joining for yoke. At the end the underarm are sewn together.
Options for different button-bands and collars type are given, I choose for my button-band, collar and cuff a stockinette double-knit finish, stand-up collar of 4’’ 10cm and cuff of 3’’ 7cm. An option for ribbed belt & belt loops, and interior pocket (that are knit separately and then seamed to the body) are proposed.
A circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches. Raglan shaping allows for easy movement.

Yarn Himalaya Everyday Fiber (100% Anti-Pilling Acrylic 250m. (273 yds) per 100gr)colour grey Yardage: (Please keep in mind that yardage is an estimate skeins) yarn per 100gr skein (11, 11, 12, 13)(14, 15, 16, 17). The piece shown used 7 skeins of dark grey and 4 of light one.
Gauge in pattern:(after wet blocking) 44 sts and 27 rows/ rounds = 4’’ 10cm in rib 2x2 Gauge and needle size are suggestions only. Individual knitting style and yarn haracteristics affect the result, so adjust needle size to get preferred results.

Circular Needles:
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge, (dpns or circular(s) for your preferred method of knitting small
circumferences in the rnd) Size US.5 3.75mm, 10’’25cm,16’’40cm, 32’’80cm, circular needles are recommended because the project is quite heavy and circular needles will cccommodate a large number of stitches and support this weight more affectively. Notion: stitch markers (ma), stitch holders or wastes yarn, tapestry needle, and buttons
