This is a fairly simple design that works up quickly. Once the central rectangle is done, you’ll find the 5 pattern rows easy to remember.

You can make your mat any size you desire and use any type/weight of plain yarn - just be sure to use the hook recommended for the weight of yarn you are using to get the correct density.
