Textured Ridge Square Blanket
A blanket made up of 36 squares made individually and then joined together either by sewing or by the join-as-you-go method.
Finished size: 85 × 85 cm (33 × 33 in)
Materials:
Crochet hook: 4.0 mm (G/6) crochet hook (or size needed to match gauge)
Yarn: To make the blanket, you will need a total of approximately 1656 m of DK yarn — 276 m in each of four accent colours and 552 m in the main colour.
For this blanket, I used Paintbox Yarn Simply DK.
2 x 100g / 276m – Slate Grey (MC) – used for edging, joining, and the border
1 x 100g / 276m – Blood Orange (Yarn A)
1 x 100g / 276m – Washed Teal (Yarn B)
1 x 100g / 276m – Daffodil Yellow (Yarn C)
1 x 100g / 276m – Dolphin Blue (Yarn D)
These four accent colours create a bright, playful palette, while the slate grey ties everything together and helps highlight the texture of the squares.
Gauge: One square measures approximately 11.3 cm / 4.5 in. Gauge is not critical for this project but may affect yarn quantities. You can adjust your hook size if necessary.
