The Amphitrite Cowl
The Amphitrite Cowl is an easy colorwork cowl named for the Greek goddess of the sea. Its beautiful scale pattern can shine in jewel tones as well as more muted color combinations. Made out of DK weight yarn, this is a fast knit and a cozy scarf that can offer a slice of summer in the colder months. Finished size is approximately 24 inches/ 61 cm in circumference and 12 inches/ 30.5 cm long.
The cowl is knitted in the round, and is suitable for beginner knitters. The colorwork is quite easy and does not require you to carry the float or weave in lots of ends. The pattern includes instructions for reducing or increasing the size of the cowl.
