A “more manly” version of The Amanda Hat! Since the Amanda Hat was named after one of my dearest friends- Amanda, I decided to name the male version of this hat after her uncle, Armando. Seemed only fitting ; )

The hat still uses that same cushy-soft and exceptionally warm yarn, Malabrigo Worsted. One skein makes either 2 medium sizes (approx. 47 grams of yarn each) or 1 beanie (approx. 42 g of yarn) & 1 full size hat (approx. 52 g of yarn).

I decided to re-make this pattern after my hubby (whose passions are skiing, geocashing and hiking) asked for a warm, soft hat that he could wear when out in the cold…and also with less chances of being shot at during hunting season…LOL…hence, the alternate picture of him wearing the orange hat.

Hope this pattern delights you as much as The Amanda Hat did, which tickles me non-stop when I catch a glimpse of the number of “Loves” and projects going on. Yay to knitters! Yay to Ravelry!
