The Bagsket
Stilly River Yarns’s 2023 Puget Sound LYS Tour crochet pattern
Worked in a dense single-crochet fabric of 95% recycled cotton, the Fullerton Bag-sket has a sturdy square bottom and tapered sides that build to a row of single-crochet stitches worked around the back post. This row provides a fold line that allows the top half of the bag to neatly turn over to see the contents of your basket on a table or nightstand; when you’re ready to move on to your next task, pull a crochet-chain drawstring through the eyelets and toss the resulting bag in a convenient place.
- Skills used: single crochet, working in the round, working around the post, decreases
- Can be worked in one or two colors (or more if that’s your thing)
- When using the recommended yarn at the 10% Tour discount, project cost of approximately $23 USD
- Want a different size of basket? For a larger basket, use a larger size of yarn; for a smaller basket, use a smaller size of yarn; use a hook at least 2-3 mm smaller than what is recommended on the ball band to ensure a dense enough fabric.
NOTE: The pattern is free to anyone visiting the shop or placing an online / phone order during the Tour dates - if you love the pattern but can’t swing a visit or an order, the price will go down to $4.50 on May 22.
