This short, lean skirt is worked from the waist down. A smaller needle than you’d usually use for this yarn gauge was used to add more “Spring” and less “Sprung” to the skirt seat.

This basic pattern can be used as a “foundation” for the basic skirt where the knitter can play with stitch patterns and hemline treatments such as gores, pleats and lace stitches.

Please feel free to share your knitted skirt to those of us in the Ravelry skirt group “La Skirt” so that we all can be inspired!
