the bee cosy restoring normality
“A cup of tea would restore my normality.“ - Douglas Adams
This is a pattern for a tea cosy to fit over your entire teapot. There are charts for 4 average size/shaped tea pots, 2 cup, 4 cup, 6 cup, and 8 cup. The pattern can be used as a guideline, if you have a slightly taller or shorter, longer, or wider pot!
The cosy is constructed by first knitting a cable band, picking up sts, and knitting in the round. I have included instructions for the Ladderback/Invisible Jacquard Technique in addition you may want to work the Armenian stranded method, trapping your float every other st. Carolyn Knits has a nice stranded knitting tutorial.
