The Best Hat Ever
This hat is, by far, my most knit garment. I have taught it in knitting classes, made it (more than once) for everyone in my family, given it as a gift to every single baby I know, and developed a class for Craftsy.com that teaches it. It’s the best hat ever! It looks great on everyone and is a great first hat for the knitter who has never worked in the round before. If you need help making it, check out Learn to Knit: My First Hat on Craftsy.com.
Using 2 different yarns has a great effect as you can see in the youth sized hat pictured here. (I used old stash varigated light weight yarn with a heavy worsted weight yarn to create a bulky weight yarn.)
For the women’s size cinched hat with buttons, I used 110yd (100m)/1 ball Estelle Merlin
