Hooray, hurrah! My favorite yarn shop - A Yarn Less Raveled - is five years old! In honor of this wonderful shop, I present The Big, Squishy Anniversary Cowl. It’s a fast, fun knit, in a new, lovely aran-weight yarn (the Fibre Co. Arranmore) which the shop has recently begun carrying. This cowl features a provisional cast-on; and a 3-needle bind off. The pattern has a reference to an on-line tutorial for provisional cast-on and an option for those of you who prefer not to do a provisional cast-on or a 3 needle bind-off.

I used a little less than two skeins of Arranmore (175 yards per skein); you can easily substitute any Aran weight or Chunky weight yarn. Do pay attention to the gauge; a thicker yarn will result in a larger garment. Thanks to cfrussll and gamerbabeknits for test knitting and tech editing.
