THE CHANDLER HAT
Seriously. Could this hat BE any cooler? Like the Friend that inspired it, Chandler is smart, casual…and a little scared of commitment! Turn up the brim, and it’s a close-fitting beanie. Turn down the brim and it’s a slouchy hat. Use one colour, or knit the brim with a contrast colour. Add a pom. Don’t add a pom. No matter what kind of hat you want to knit, Chandler’s got you covered!

YARN
Approximately 200 yds (180 m) of an Aran Weight yarn.
Charcoal Version shown in Ella Rae Rustic Aran.
Red Version shown in Brooklyn Tweed Shelter.

NEEDLES
Size US 7 (4.5 mm) 16”/40 cm circular needle (ribbing, body).
Size US 7 (4.5 mm) double-pointed needles x 5 (crown).

GAUGE
23 stitches & 28 rounds = 4” (10 cm) in Textured Rib Pattern, after blocking.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
17” (43 cm) circumference x 11” (28 cm) length—with brim unrolled, after blocking.
17” (43 cm) circumference x 8.25” (21 cm) length—with 2.5” (6.5 cm) brim rolled up, after blocking.
To fit approx. 22-23” (56-58 cm) head circumference.
