The Chic of Check
Warning - the pattern contains a very derogatory word
THIS engaging little creation is, strictly speaking, a jacket, but it looks charming worn as a jumper/pullover, with a pretty modesty vest. A feather weight lightning fastener could very smartly take the place of the buttons; simply omit the buttonholes.
MATERIALS: Of Paton’s Super (or “Beehive”) Scotch Fingering, 4-ply, 6 ozs. in brown (shade 2017) and 4 oz. in natural (shade 212). 1 pair No. 11, 1 pair No. 10 “Inox” knitting needles. 7 buttons.
MEASUREMENTS: Bust, 34 inches; length, 18 inches; sleeve seam, 18 inches.
TENSION: 8 stitches=1 inch.
