Inspired by a recent visit to the Scottish Highlands and scandinavian type knitted fair isle jumpers, I thought I’d design a crochet one (: .

A round neck, loose fit jumper with full-length sleeves made from the top down. Made with double knitting yarn using mainly treble stitches with pattern detail on the yoke which is repeated on the body and sleeves.

The jumper is worked in rounds from the neck down, so the length of the body and sleeves can easily be adjusted by working fewer or more rounds. The sleeves are also worked in rounds from the armhole down. There are no seams to sew in at the end, just yarn ends where you started a new ball or joined a new colour. The armhole is a generous size, and the sleeves taper gradually to the cuff. The bottom of the jumper falls just below the hips. The right side of the jumper is always facing as you work.

Enjoy!
