This shawl is knit tip to tip, resulting in a triangular shape. You start from one corner and increase to the widest point and then decrease back down to the other corner. There is an I-cord edging and a simple braided cable that is worked through out. A simple knit purl texture is worked for the main portion of the shawl.

Finished size- 52’’ long and 20’’ deep.
Gauge- 17sts x 23sts over 4’’ in stockinette stitch.
Needles- U.S 9 (5.5mm) needles
Yarn- Samples were knit with worsted weight I Love This Yarn (100% acrylic) in the Brown Tweed and Rosy Cheeks colorways. Any worsted weight will do.
Yardage- In my samples I used close to 400 yards. However, I used acrylic yarn so I was aware of the fact that my shawl would not grow much after blocking. If you are using a wool/wool blend, it is most likely your shawl will grow and you may not need as many repeats as I did. Because this shawl is constructed by increasing to the widest point and then decreasing back down, you can easily use half your yarn for one side, and half for the other.
Extra- yarn needle, scissors, and a cable needle
