Maximum Pretty. Minimum Time.
This pretty hat incorporates lifted stitches to form a feminine pattern reminiscent of a winter evergreen. It works up surprisingly quickly—in a single day if you put your mind to it. Knit it / Wear it / Gift it. The perfect December knitting project!
Dimensions / Size
8.5” (21.5 cm) high x 18” (46.5 cm) around (unstretched). Fits average adult female.
Yarn
Cascade Yarns Nevado (39% Llama, 38% Wool, 23% Nylon; 164 yards 150 meters / 100 grams): 1 ball in shade #01 “Ecru” (Image 1), OR shade #02 “Almond” (Image 2).
Needles
One 16” (40 cm) circular needle size US 10 (6.0 mm).
One 16” (40 cm) circular needle size US 10.75 (7.0 mm).
One set of 4 double-pointed needles size US 10.5 (6.5 mm).
Gauge
14 stitches / 21 rounds = 4” (10 cm) in Lifted Stitch Pattern, using US 10.75 (7.0 mm) circular needle.
3.5 stitches / 6.25 rounds = 1” (2.5 cm) in 1 x 1 Twisted Ribbing (unstretched), using US 10 (6.0 mm) circular needle.
