Taking inspiration directly from the catwalk, and paying homage to an ancient culture, this set is a real statement piece for the fashion-conscious knitter.

The scarf has large pockets behind the colourwork panels for walkers or holding essentials on your dash to the morning train. The small inner pocket fits a credit/travel card, phone or keys and is a little more secure.

Alpine Wool is a chunky weight, soft, roving wool yarn ideal for warm accessories and works up quickly. Filzi is an excellent value alternative for the more budget conscious knitter.

Scarf used 10 balls Alpine Wool in Barley, Hat used 2 balls in Barley. The contrast colours are Oatmeal, Chilli and Bay Leaf, one ball of each colour will be enough for both the hat and the scarf.

If using Filzi instead of Alpine Wool you’ll need 17 balls in Braunmel for the Scarf, 4 for the Hat. One ball of each contrast colour should be enough but you might want to get a spare ball of the Natur colour just in case.
