The Enchanted Place
One of my treasured childhood possessions is an old set of A. A. Milne’s Winnie the Pooh and The House at Pooh Corner. The gentle adventures of Pooh and company were the inspiration for this story shawl.
It’s a sampler shawl, with several motifs. It can be made shorter or longer easily enough—omit motifs if you desire, or work extra repeats of ones you are particularly fond of. It was designed for 4 colors, but there’s no reason you couldn’t do more! Leftover sock yarn or mini skeins could definitely work. I had 4 100 yard skeins and leftovers from each of them. I used the most yarn with colors 3 & 4 (the brown and the amber).
Have fun visiting with Pooh and his friends while you knit this fun accessory!
