The Fabulous Unicorn Cowl
This pattern was originally published as Hook & Needle’s contribution to the 2026 Rose City Yarn Crawl, March 5-8, 2026 in Portland, Oregon. This pattern is also available for download as part of the 2026 Pattern Collection: Mythical Creatures.
Lucky you! You have captured a unicorn! This magical beast has found something special in you, and has gifted you this alicorn to wear. It’s hard to say if the legends are true about unicorns bringing good fortune or healing powers, but one thing is certain: this little cowl is fabulous. A pop of color from the stripes adds some fun interest to the cabled horn motif, and the cowl can be styled as one long, relaxed loop or it can be doubled around your neck for some extra warmth. And who knows – maybe it will bring you some luck after all!
