On a recent trip through Portland, Oregon, Siri rerouted, taking us on a “shorter” route on Germantown road. When my eyes were not squeezed tightly, I caught glimpses of steep drops offs and thick trees. My eyes did not have to be open to feel the curves moving me around my seat.
Lesson: don’t listen to Siri.
These beautiful cables remind me of the twists and turns of Germantown road. However, cabling won’t give you the pit-in-your-stomach feel like that road did.
To make this hat, you will need to know how to cable. However, one of the awesome people that tested this pattern had never cabled before making this hat. A link to a helpful video on cabling is included within the pattern, so I’d say that this pattern is beginner friendly.
Since you’ll be using bulky weight yarn, this hat works up in 1-2 hours.
The only size included is adult women’s. But instructions for a slouchy as well as a non-slouchy version are included.
I do allow the finished products from my pattern to be sold as long as you follow all of the rules in my pattern on page 1.
