Known by many names—Olórin, Muithrandir, or “Grey Pilgrim” by the Elves; Incánus by Southern Middle-Earth dwellers; Tharkûn by the Dwarves; and Gandalf by Men—Gandalf the Grey was a powerful and wise Wizard from the Istari Order. Although he appeared to be an old man with a long beard, pointy hat, and staff, he was tenacious and mighty. A wanderer for hundreds of years, he was sent to aid in the defeat of Sauron and sat on the White Council alongside Elrond, Galadriel, and fellow Wizard Saruman. Fond of Hobbits, he joined the Fellowship after realizing Bilbo’s ring was the One Ring, acting as a guide for the group. Despite Saruman’s betrayal and his fall into the abyss at the Bridge of Khazad-dûm, he is reborn as Gandalf the White, rejoining the Fellowship on their quest in Fangorn Forest.

Inspired by the wandering Wizard, you’ll have your very own sorcerer to snuggle with this mystical home accessory. Worked in the round as a tube, Gandalf the Grey with his magical staff, pointed hat, and iconic beard circles around in stranded colorwork. Once the desired height is reached, a pillow form is placed inside, and the top and bottom edges are mattress stitched together. Prefer Gandalf the White? Switch the charcoal yarn to white for a transformation!
