The Grid
THE GRID
is knitted in an interesting repetitive dropped st pattern that looks like a grid; hence the name. Worked as a scarf and then the edges worked, one edge is worked larger than the other and beads are scattered through. The beads are optional but give a feminine vibe to the scarf.
YOU WILL NEED
2 x 4ply
Warm Merry O – 311m/100g, 50% superwash merino, 50% silk (one undyed and one contrast/dark colour)
Sample: contrast grey yarn with neon specks (hand-dyed superwash merino)
4mm needle short circular needle worked forwards and backwards
350 x size 6 seed beads
GAUGE: 20 and 24 rows to 10cm on 4 needles
FINISHED SIZE: when washed and blocked - Length: 145cm, Width: 45cm
ABBREVIATIONS
k: knit | p: purl | st(s): stitch(es) | R: row | RS / WS: right-side / wrong-side
yo: yarn over, starting at front of work pass yarn over needle to back. When you reach a yo on next row, work as directed. This should create a hole.
sl1pwyib: slip one st purlwise with yarn in back | sl1pwif: slip one st purlwise with yarn in front
