This pattern has been updated to include instructions for an aran weight or dk weight yarn.

Introducing the Kaslo Cap.
This toque was designed by my dear friend Kathy Chapman ‘tuesday knitter’ on Ravelry for our recent retreat in Kaslo, BC, Canada.
After teaching all of us the fun of fair isle, Kathy has gifted the pattern to me and I am gifting it to all of you in turn.
The pattern has a chart that is easy for the beginner to follow and great instructions for creating a Latvian braid.
There is only one size option, but this would be simple to make smaller or bigger with the simple 8 stitch repeat.
Materials needed:
1 skein of a light worsted or aran weight yarn in a lighter colour
1 skein of a light worsted yarn or aran weight yarn in a darker colour
The hat was designed with Riverstone Yarns merino worsted in mind which are 220 yds each. This would be enough to knit two hats in opposite colours.
3.5 or 4.5 mm needles 16 inches long circular and matching double pointed needles or magic loop as the knitter desires.
Stitch marker
Tapestry needle
