The Line Up Bucket Hat
Colorful hats are the perfect stash busters! Choose a fit and
brim length, then customize the edge with fancy fringe if you
like. You can make a matching hat for your kid too!
This iconic bucket hat is worked top down in joined rounds of
half double crochet in the third loop, with a thick stripe of
easy breezy lace band between the crown and brim.
Brim length is customizable – try the hat on while working
the brim and proceed with edging as soon as you like it as is.
The larger size is for adults or those that want a slouchy and
floppy fit. The small size works for a smaller adult head or a child.
Smooth transition between colors is achieved through
working an “invisible” joining slip stitch from the wrong side of
work. Such an uncomplicated technique works quickly and
leaves a slightly visible flat seam on the back of hat. You may
use your preferred method of seamless join instead.
