Want to make it bigger? Taking a look at the more easily modifiable Elder Tree Shawl might be a good idea!

The Lonely Tree Shawl is a lovely Fall weather leaves shawl knit in tweedy worsted weight Loden yarn. A perfect edition to any autumn wardrobe. It’s a simple lace knit that would be good for intermediate level knitters who are comfortable with knitting, purling, and working yarn overs.

The name of this shawl has many meanings. I think of it like, when the trees lose their leaves, they are lonely. The shawl also looks like leaves, so in theory you could have stolen the leaves from the tree, making it a lonely tree. OR when the tree loses it’s leaves, you could knit it a Lonely Tree shawl to make it feel better.

Thanks so much to my model Savanna, and my tech-editor and test knitter Nicola! (Who is tinyislandtextile here on ravelry).
