The Marled Mittens is one of the two patterns of the second installment of The Marled Collection, a collaborative effort between Laura Menéndez (Mimosa Café Lanar) and Vanessa Pellisa.

All of the patterns in the collection are knit using marled yarn, which looks great when used to create basic and thoughtful pieces. Most of the garments in the collection are unisex. Think elevated basics with a twist!

The collection includes both garments and accessories (6 patterns in total. 3 created by Laura and 3 by Vanessa).

The Marled Mittens are worked from cuff to ribbing with a flip-over section. They are worked seamlessly in the round with a simple gusset thumb and sport-weight yarn.

Sizes

Finished hand circumference: 18 (20, 22, 24) cm / 7.2 (8, 8.8, 9.6)”

Yarn
1 (1, 1, 2) skeins of Vovo (100% fine Portuguese Wool) by Retrosaria Rosa Pomar 50 gr / 143 m (156 yds) per skein in colorway 40.
OR
1 (1, 1, 2) skeins of Mondim (100% fine Portuguese Wool) by Retrosaria Rosa Pomar 50 gr / 385m (422 yds) per skein in colorway 400 HELD DOUBLE.
Please, note that you’ll be knitting the mitten to length, so a longer hand might need more yarn than a shorter hand. This makes estimating yardage a nearly impossible task! Make sure to have enough yarn to complete your project.
