Every Sunday, the gates to the Midnight Menagerie creak open for just a few short weeks. Strange creatures emerge from the shadows, curious relics glimmer in the moonlight, and forgotten magic stirs once more. With each clue, you’ll discover another resident of the Menagerie until the entire collection has been revealed.

Step into a world of mysterious creatures, magical relics, and things that go bump in the night. Over eight weeks, you’ll uncover a new piece of the puzzle as each clue reveals another inhabitant of the Midnight Menagerie.

This mystery crochet along (MCAL) combines the fun of weekly surprises with the cozy comfort of Corner-to-Corner crochet. By the end of the journey, you’ll have created a stunning blanket made from nine mystery C2C picture squares, joined together with a coordinating border.

The mystery is part of the adventure! Each clue reveals only one small part of the whole. You’ll discover the finished design one reveal at a time!

Each week’s clue will be delivered as a Ravelry Pattern Update, and you’ll automatically receive an email notification when the next clue is available.

Skill Level
Advanced Beginner to Intermediate

Participants should be comfortable with:
Basic crochet stitches - chain, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet, and crab stitch
Corner to Corner technique
Color changes
Reading a C2C chart

Both written instructions and charts are included.

Whether you’re stitching from home or joining us in person, you’re invited to be part of the Midnight Menagerie!

Weekly in-person stitch sessions will be hosted at Fiber & Threads Needlecrafts in Shiloh, Illinois, where participants can work on their clues together, ask questions, and enjoy the mystery as it unfolds.

Online participants are encouraged to share progress photos and connect with fellow crocheters throughout the event.
