The Montgomery
Named for a vivacious knitting friend, The Montgomery is a slightly cropped, top-down raglan sweater worked in heathery worsted weight wool, with a touch of simple lace at the yoke, sleeves, and sides. The fit is boxy, recommended to wear with 2-4” / 5-10 cm positive ease. A combination of written instructions and charts is used. The skill level is basic to intermediate.

NEEDLES/NOTIONS
--US #4 / 3.5 mm circular needles in appropriate lengths for ribbing of collar, cuffs, and hip (or two sizes down from gauge needle size).
--US #6 / 4 mm circular needles (or size to obtain gauge) in various lengths, including 16” / 40 cm (for sleeves), 30-36” / 75-90 cm for body, and additional lengths as needed.
--Waste yarn, or if using interchangeable needles, 2 cords for holding sleeve stitches
--9 stitch markers
--tapestry needle for weaving in ends
