The Ottoman Scarf
The Ottoman Scarf is inspired, in pattern and colours, by décor patterns from Ottoman art and architecture.
It is an extra-long, soft and warm accessory that will easily become your favourite for the whole winter. If you prefer, just by increasing the number of stitches, you will obtain an elegant stole to wear all over the year.
The scarf is worked flat from an edge to the other, using three different colors that are alternated in three sections.
The geometric pattern is easily adaptable for a man’s accessory as well (I would probably use, in that case, dark colors yarns and only two colors for the entire scarf).
GAUGE after blocking: 20 sts x 25 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm / 4” x 4” in even brioche stitch.
FINISHED SIZE after light blocking: length 216 cm / 85”; width 25 cm / 9.75”.
